Our story

Some ideas are too good to leave in your imagination.

Pretty Things Atelier began with an incurable habit of making things. A birthday cake. A studio poster. A swim-team shirt. A favorite phrase that needed better typography.

“That's a hobby, not a job.”

— Advice, politely ignored

I've always loved creating. As a teenager I wanted to be a photographer, but I was told it was a hobby, not a career. Marketing became my "real job" and an outlet for some of that creativity — but never quite enough of it.

So I kept making things. Cakes and invitations. Celebrations, a wedding, a home I renovated. Dance and swim projects for three daughters, gifts, concert tees and the French sayings I grew up with.

I can usually see an idea fully formed before it exists. The best part is making it real — and then watching someone wear it, use it, or give it away.

The process

  1. 01

    Imagine it.

An idea that won't leave me alone.

  2. 02

    Make it.

Resolved with care, down to the small detail.

  3. 03

    Love it.

Worn, used, gifted — part of everyday life.

People began asking where they could buy the things I made. Pretty Things Atelier is the answer: a window into the things I love, and whatever comes next.

Some are clever, some are beautiful, some are a little ridiculous. That's half the fun.
